It is great news to announce that Eritrea hosts CECAFA U-15, The tournament will kick off in Asmara on August 17 and run until September 1.
The 2019 CECAFA U-15 will see eleven countries namely host Eritrea, Kenya, Burundi, Somalia, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Sudan, and Djibouti.
The tournament that has attracted Eleven (11) National junior teams is designed for players under the age of 15 kicks off on Saturday 17th August and ends on 1st September.
The tournament is to help the region prepare for the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers that start early next year. The initiative to launch the tournament has been backed by Confederation of African Football
The result of a draw conducted by CECAFA body in Asmara is as follows;
Group A – Eritrea, Kenya, Burundi, Somalia
Group B – Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan
Group C – Tanzania, Sudan, Djibouti
